Ms. Christensen is a graduate of the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio, and teaches the Manuel Garcia Method as taught to her by the late Robert Powell. She has over 30 years experience in this field. Lorraine Christensen is the recipient of ten performance awards. Ms. Christensen returns to teaching in Connecticut after 5 years in New York City. Her studio is now located in downtown New Haven. Ms. Christensen is now taking reservations for September 2008 in New York City.

I am a Broadway Veteran and classically trained. I specialize in musical theater and classical vocal training and technique for singers, actors and dancers. My students have appeared on Broadway, in television and film, and have been recoginzed by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, Rosa Ponselle, Amici and the Metropolitan Opera regional competitions. My B'way credits include: 'Sugar Babies' w/Ann Miller & Mickey Rooney, 'Women of the Year' w/Lauren Bacall, 'Chicago' w/Chita, Rivera and 'Whoopee' w/Imogene Coca. Night Club/Concert work at: Atlantic City Sands Hotel and Harrah's Marina w/Sammy Davis Jr. and Joan Rivers, and Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos w/Ben Vereen and Jennifer Holiday.
