I teach students to become the best expert in their own voice. I present technique and encourage changes to allow the student to discover how their voice works, and which techniques are most effective. Appoggio breathing, blended registration through passaggi, effective aggiustamento, appropriate copertura!

The healthiest way to sing is also the most natural, and that is "talking on a tune" -- tone produced through a free jaw with a firm hook-up to the source of air pressure, the way a healthy speaking voice is produced.
I teach classical and musical theatre repertoire, and sacred as well as Christian contemporary.
