I specialize in pre-college voices to adults. Languages covered include German, Italian, French, English, Latin, and Hungarian, if desired. Strong voice-building techniques are introduced and steadily imparted that focus on a simple, yet affective "speech-to-singing" approach, while incorporating the use many healthy voice methods that include Delle Sedie, Lamperti and Marchesi. A strong concentration is placed on body alignment, ease and strength of breath control and holistic physical connections. Various performance practices and movement are employed to encourage maximum characterization and expression.

I have taught at many reputable institutions over the past several years that include the University of Calgary, the University of Lethbridge, (both located in Alberta, Canada) and the University of Minnesota, where I enjoyed instructing several group voice classes in addition to elective/private teaching. Most recently, I was employed as full time sessional voice instructor at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada, where I also instructed voice pedagogy and vocal literature classes.

I combine solid technique with a hands-on ability to understand the individual needs of each singing artist. As a professional performing singer, and having worked in many contemporary and classical styles, I have a foundation in real world experience. I seek to encourage enthusiasm, discipline, artistry, individual expression and abilities. I offer instruction and coaching to singers of all levels, ages and styles.

My mission is to facilitate the development of a strong, healthy, aligned instrument that can be used to express any song style and speech demand, as well as assisting singers in understanding and executing the skills specific to each genre.
