I am a very experienced singer in opera, oratorio, theater, radio, television, nightclubs and cruise ships. I teach in a scientific and imaginative manner, with clear and concise instructions. I record each lesson as a study guide. For me, singing is great fun, and I hope to make my teaching reflect that philosophy.

I believe in exposing my students to a wide variety of singing styles (listed above) complete with strong foundations in proven Bel Canto singing techniques. I insist on a thorough understanding of music theory and sight singing skills. I have had great success with young pre-teen singers! I used to think that nine and ten-year-olds were too young to benefit from lessons, but I have been proven wrong by a number of very talented pre-teen girls who have studied with me for years. Three of these girls have released their own CD solo recordings, and one of them has already recorded and released four CD projects since December 2002. I require a once-a-week, 60-minute lesson committment from all my students. Paid lessons that must be cancelled for any reason will receive a "credit lesson" that never expires. I am thrilled to be the Director of Music at the friendliest church in the world --- Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Fairfax, Virginia. Why would you study singing with a non-singing musician when you can study with an experienced professional singer and performing artist whose experiences have taken him around the world many times.
